Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Catie Starr has spent more than18 years working in art and production as a makeup artist and hairstylist. She began her career while attending art school in San Francisco and working as an artist for luxury brand, Shu Uemura. After completing cosmetology school at the Aveda Institute, she chose to pursue her love for on-set styling and makeup artistry.
During her her career she has enjoyed producing camera ready looks for companies including Bank of America, Duke Energy, Belk, Fox Sports, Bhldn, Pepsi, Carolina Panthers, Valvoline, Hisense, Abbott, Press Gainey, Goodwill, AMC, Off Broadway Shoes, SCAD, First Magazine, SF Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and South Magazine. In the bridal industry her work has been featured on TLC, Style Me Pretty, Southern Weddings as well as numerous publications through the East Coast. She has worked with leading industry professionals including Kandee Johnson, Michael Baker and James Ryder.
A self described tom-boy makeup junkie, she enjoys weekend trips with her boyfriend in their camper, concerts and anything about outer space.
